Next, we will get our toes out of the sand and see what really makes Kauai special, soaking up views that literally stretch for miles on a 50-minute aerial ride over the oldest Hawaiian island.

For us outdoor enthusiasts we can experience nature from above tree canopies on this pulse-quickening zip line excursion. We'll zoom over jungle treetops and past the gorgeous Ha’upu Mountains on this daring adventure. We'll swing through tropical forests and dangle over rolling pastures on this zippy tour through Kipu Ranch, a 3,000-acre (1,214-ha) property that extends from the Huleia River to the top of Mount Ha’upu. Waterfalls will crash beneath our feet when flying past deep greenery. After, we’ll trek through the private ranch and discover the vibrant colors of the forest, home to animals like lively peacocks, wild pigs and singing birds.

We'll get ready to spend our morning on one of 2 sleek 55-foot (17-m) catamarans - Spirit of Kauai and Spirit of Akialoa. The breeze off the water will drive our vessel through the salty air as the captain takes us to his favorite snorkeling spots.

The course is a thrilling combination of nine picturesque zip lines and a suspension bridge spanning a waterfall. First, we will walk up a ramp to a 26-foot high tower. Next, we'll zip 1,200 feet racing each other side-by-side or maybe holding hands! The tour includes an hour at a fifteen-foot deep, hidden swimming hole fed by a small waterfall. Here we’ll enjoy a delicious picnic, swimming, jumping and floating on inner tubes.
